SF Environment’s Virtual Warehouse is an online items exchange system for surplus goods submitted by San Francisco City Departments for reuse. Other city departments, non-profits, and schools are all eligible to request and reuse available for free.

Since 2004, the Virtual Warehouse diverted over 720 tons from the landfill with items valued at over $6 million dollars and recycled over 5000 tons of scrap metal, generating over $400,000 for the City.
